Entertaiment relates to activities that provide enjoyment and amusement. It includes play, which is a fundamental part of children’s growth and development, as well as the enjoyment of performances and games such as music or sports (1,2). These are sometimes used as training for future responsibilities such as work and child rearing (2,3). Entertainment is constantly evolving and can be adapted to any size of audience, from individuals who choose their own private entertainment (for example, music or film) to banquets for two, to large crowds watching sports events or television shows (4,5). Sometimes stories such as Scheherazade (a story in the Persian professional storytelling tradition) inspire retellings in different media.
