The United Nations General Assembly has established the International Law Commission to advance the study, development, and codification of international law. The Commission is made up of 34 members representing the principal legal systems of the world, who serve as independent experts in their respective fields. While they are not representatives of governments, they act as a source of international law, addressing issues pertaining to human rights and international humanitarian law.

A key area of focus in the future of the health care industry is the issue of diversity. This is becoming more of a controversial issue, and health care employers may be torn between implementing or removing policies that mandate vaccination. For example, President Biden’s order in September 2021 required federal contractors and employers with over 100 employees to mandate vaccination of their workers. This directive came after litigation in many states.
